Most post-conflict reconciliatory exercises make it incumbent upon survivors to forgive, and seek closure as a demonstration of ‘moving on’. Various anthropologists have criticized reconciliation related forms ‘alternative justice’ extensively but within the framework maintaining social bonds rule law.
